Research projects
My general research interests lie within the field of evolutionary ecology, which could be defined as the study of the selective pressures resulting from - and shaping - the interactions between organisms and their biotic and abiotic environment. A good summary could be "nothing in evolution or ecology makes sense except in the light of each other" (Pelletier et al., 2009, Phil. Trans. R. Soc.).
My main study models are birds (mostly seabirds and passerines) but recent studies also include other models such as squamates, fish and insects. In recent years, I have focused on two main research themes
